Join SARRC for our 46th Adelaide Marathon Festival events. With an AIMS Certified 21.0975km course.

Starting at and finishing at Adelaide Oval, 2024 will be an event you won’t want to miss. Course remains the same as 2023 except it will be run in reverse. Some footpaths on course have been moved onto closed roads to accommodate the larger numbers of entries this year.

Car Parking:

No race specific parking is being provided for this year’s event. Local parking will be on surrounding streets or at the Oval North Parking area (Wilsons Parking). Recommended parking is at the Convention Centre, Festival Drive and then a short walk over the Riverbank Precinct Pedestrian Bridge leading to the Oval. Note that Montefiore Rd and War Memorial Rd leading to the Oval will be closed and King William Rd and Pennington Road will be restricted.

Event Village:

The event village will be at Adelaide Oval and will include Bag Drop, Toilets, First Aid and Coffee/Food trucks as well as Sponsors and SARRC Information.

Start Times:

Marathon: 6.30am
Half Marathon: 7:00am
10Km: 7:15am
5Km: 7:30am

Start Procedures

The start for this year’s race will be on War Memorial Rd alongside Telstra Plaza and the Oval main gate. We are using a self-seeding start line at the Adelaide Marathon this year and in an effort to alleviate congestion at Bonython Park leading onto footpaths, wave starts are being considered. All potential placegetters (first 3 male or female) should please proceed to the front of the start group as these positions will be timed on gun time so need to go out first. All other competitors will be timed using net time which means your time only starts when you cross the start line. We ask that you assemble back from the start on War Memorial Drive in the direction of King William Rd in approximate sequence to your expected finish time. There will be time boards giving you an indication of where to line up. Once the gun goes, please move forward and begin running across the start line. Course Map to follow shortly.
