Race Day Information
All distances start on Port Road, and finish at the finish line at Bonython Park off Port Road.
In the past, we have been able to use Adelaide Oval as the event finish line, but due to the fluid AFL calendar, we have not been able to finish inside the preferred finish line inside the Adelaide Oval.
Park at Race Village: Bonython Parking
UPARK manages the car parking at Bonython Park. UPARK will charge a flat fee of $8.50 for parking, and it will be collected when you exit the car park. Please refrain from parking anywhere else in the park.
Race Village
The Race Village will be established at Bonython Park and will include Bag Drops, Toilets, First Aid, Sponsor information, Club information, merchandise, coffee and food trucks.
Race Bib collection & Prepd Adelaide Marathon Expo
Pre-race BIB collection will be at Village Greens, Adelaide Oval (Parking at North side of the Oval)
- Friday 25/8 : 10 AM – 6PM
- Saturday 26/8 : 9:30 AM – 4PM
There will be a Saucony shakeout run. Join in and try out the new Triumph 21 and the Saucony endorphin speed 4
Sat, 26 Aug 2023 at 8:30 AM for 8:45AM Start at the North gate of Adelaide Oval.
Note – There will not be any Race Day BIB collection or late entries.

12:30pm – Course Closure
Start Procedures
The start line for all races will be on Port Rd, to ensure a clean, open and fast start for all participants.
Ensure you assemble in your start zone as indicated by the SIGNAGE.
We are using a self seeding start line at the Prepd Adelaide Marathon. All potential placegetters (first 5 male or female) should proceed to the front of the start group as these positions will be determined on gun time. All other runners will be timed using net time, which means your time only starts when you cross the start line. We ask that you assemble back from the start along Port Rd in approximate sequence to your estimated finish time. There will be signage giving you an indication of where to line up. Once the gun goes, please move forward and begin running across the start line.
Course Cut Off:
Course is open for 6 hours and will close at 12.30pm
Drink Stations:
There are plenty of drink stations along the course. Drink Station tables will be well spaced. Water and Infinit will be pre-filled in cups by our volunteers and placed on outer edge of dedicated table for runners to pick up from.
Please discard all cups into the bin bags provided at the aid stations to help minimise our environmental footprint. Non-adherence could result in disqualification

SPECIAL DRINKS
Need a special drink on course during your Adelaide Marathon?
You have the option to place special drinks at 6 drink stations on course.
Organise your special drink drops at the Bib collection point. Please choose a noticeable and unique drink bottle, and label the bottle with your bib number and the drink station where you require it, and we will organise for it to be there and ready for you when you hit that drink station on race day!

Special Drinks Drop Off:
All special drinks must be dropped off at Bib Pickup on Friday or Saturday before race day.
