Prize money for winners

The following prize money will be paid out to the Male and Female winners of at the Brooks Adelaide Marathon.

The placing is based on Gun Finish times. All World Athletics rules apply.

Should the SARRC deem a race to finish as a dead heat the prizemoney for the two (or more) placegetters involved in the dead heat will be averaged between the intended prizemoney for those placings covered by the dead heat.

For example, if first prize was $1,000 and second prize was $500 then in the event of a dead heat for first place both runners would both receive $750.

Should the dead heat involve the last place to receive prize money then the pay out to both will be an equal split of the last prize money place (for example, if third prize was $250 and there was no fourth prize then in the event of a dead heat for third place both runners would both receive $125).
